5 Marketing Moves to Make Before the End of the Year

December 1, 2025 by Mikayla Rewey Leave a Comment

As we start seeing more Christmas decorations and start hearing more Christmas jingles on the radio, it means the year is coming to a close.

Did you accomplish everything in 2025 with your note business that you set out to?

If the answer is yes — congrats! It’s time to set your sights on a bigger 2026. If the answer is no — it’s time to reflect on what changes can help make your 2026 a success.

And Marketing may be the answer to both of those things. But don’t wait until 2026; there is still some time left in 2025!

5 Marketing Moves to Make for Your Note Business – Before the End of the Year

1) Reach Out to a Lead that Didn’t Pan Out

We’ve all had those leads that fell off. It could have been after they initially reached out before you offered them a quote. Or you could have provided a quote and never heard from them again.

Now is a GREAT time to reach out again. Spend five minutes calling them, and if they don’t answer, send them an email. Let them know you are still here to help them find the best pricing for their note, answer any questions, and offer assistance.

While the holidays are a slow time for the note business, January sees folks rejuvenated and wanting to cross things off their list and start the year with extra funds. By reaching out now, you’ll be on top of their minds!

2) Schedule Social Media Posts

Have you let your social media fall to the wayside? Time to start posting!

It’s great to post some Holiday Posts to get into the spirit and wish everyone well. It’s also great to pepper in some educational posts about your note business – let folks know about seller financing, what types of notes you purchase, and that you’re actively involved in the industry.

Before the year ends, ensure that your business information on social media profiles is up to date. Start 2026 off right with an active social presence!

3) Refresh Your Website

Have you been actively posting on your website this year?

Search algorithms favor fresh content and blogs for websites, which can significantly help improve your search rankings. But more importantly, prospective note sellers and brokers love to see an active website. So, kill two birds with one stone and post a new blog post before the end of the year.

If you have been actively posting all year, great job! Now is the time to conduct a website audit, checking that all your contact information is correct and easily accessible. Click through your homepage and ensure all links are working. Check for any website updates to stay on top of site security.

And if you’re one of the folks that don’t have a website for your note business – now would be a great time to get one.

4) Reach Out to 5 Industry Professionals

We hold a Best of Notes every year, and one of the categories is the best way to find notes. And every year, Networking and Referrals come out on top.

So, it’s time to network!

Reach out to five industry professionals – real estate agents, institutional buyers, service providers, other investors, or brokers – and see if there is anything you can do for them, and let them know you’re actively buying and/or brokering.

Make sure to lead with what you can do for them (not the other way around). While it may not lead anywhere immediately, like with past leads, if something does come up that you can help them with, you’ll be on their mind.

5) Create a Plan for 2026

Start the new year with a clear vision! Write down your goals, a few things you accomplished last year, a few marketing things you did well, and a list of marketing ideas for 2026.

Take the time to make it an actionable plan! Break big goals into smaller steps so that you can start working towards them without feeling overwhelmed.

If your goal is to grow your business and find more notes in 2026, start the plan and education now! Join our Marketing for Notes Master Class so you’re ready to start strong.

Finish the year strong! Spend a little time to get some momentum going to bring you into 2026.
